Opinion letter responding to “Latest fraud instances in US affecting Haitian communities”
It’s so unhappy to learn all these fraud allegations about my Haitian folks.
I imagine our leaders must construct the neighborhood with higher sources about funds, as a result of many individuals don’t perceive cash, the way it works or funds. Possibly if there’s a program on the market that may clarify to them the fundamentals about funds, they might have an understanding to stop all these frauds. A few of them simply assume that right here within the USA, you’ll be able to run a enterprise with out a diploma or with out authorized counsel. It’s so unhappy to be that approach.
All church leaders and people who are in politics right here must step up and do one thing. Ask most of our Haitian folks, “Do you really want to attend 30 years to pay your mortgage?” They’ll say, “sure.” Most of them don’t perceive they’ll pay it off early. So I’m simply saying, a few of them [the investors] are grasping, however a few of them are actually clueless.
