Beneath Secretary of State for Civilian Safety, Democracy and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya, will journey to Haiti and Panama between Oct. 12–16.
In Haiti, Beneath Secretary Zeya will meet with Prime Minister Ariel Henry, based on the U.S. Embassy in Haiti. They plan to debate an inclusive, Haitian-led political dialogue that can result in free and honest elections, the nation’s deteriorating safety scenario and the way it can greatest assist returning migrants.
Zeya may even meet with officers from the Worldwide Group for Migration (IOM) and UNICEF, in addition to Minister of Justice, Liszt Quitel, to debate the investigation into President Jovenel Moïse’s assassination and the Bel-Air, La Saline and Grand Ravine massacres.
