iciHaiti – Weather : Floods in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets

The torrential rains that fell on the night time of August 16 to 17, 2022 within the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets prompted flooding in Jerusalem, ONA-ville and Corail Cesselesse.

On Wednesday, the Communal Fee urgently dispatched a group from the Communal Administration to the scene to accompany the Civil Safety brokers of the Commune.

Following an preliminary evaluation, the City Corridor and Civil Safety groups recognized two deaths within the areas of Jerusalem and Corail Cesselesse. They’re Jimmy Saturday, just a little boy of 1 yr and 6 months and Mr. André Gaston (56 years outdated).

6 homes had been completely destroyed, 51 others had been flooded in Corail Cesselesse block 6 and ONA-Ville 10, leaving a number of households in disarray.

Confronted with this case, the Communal Fee chaired by Jean Wesnel Édrouine Pervil is interesting for help to assist the sufferer households. Mattresses, blankets, tarpaulins, water, meals and hygiene kits are urgently wanted.
